Even THEY Need This to Succeed

The first thing you want to do when you land a contract, book a super high-end client, or have a stellar day in sales at your brick-and-mortar is share it with someone.

Who do you share it with?

A spouse who kinda gets it but not really?

A best friend who really doesn’t get it at all?

A group of people whom you wonder if they get jealous of your success?

And who do you talk to when things are going less well than expected?

What do you do when you’re experiencing a lull in sales? A dip in activity in your market?

You want to offload all those emotions so you can get back to the business of executing plans that you know are set to work.

But where do you feel safe doing it? At home? In a space where your competition might be watching? Not at all?

Being an entrepreneur can be as painful as it is fulfilling, so having an open, safe space where you get honest, unbiased feedback or unwavering support is absolutely necessary for your health and for the health of your business.

And if you don’t have that outlet available, you simply cannot thrive.

Even Musk, Zuckerberg, and Branson have outlets to release to and absorb feedback from… they couldn’t have built the monsters they have built without them.

But why?

Because we are not solitary creatures. Even those of us who say we are, need at least ONE person on which they can rely to be there.

They might ONLY have one, but they have one.

We don’t offload to get approval or validation. We offload to release our own brains and nervous systems from situations we find ourselves in.

Once we put something “out there” (be it victory or loss), the stranglehold that it has on us, mentally and emotionally, breaks. We are then FREE to continue to create the momentum we need.

Momentum.

That’s what this is about.

It’s about doing what needs to be done, regardless of how we feel.

Having people you can utterly rely on in this day and age is completely necessary, no matter what kind of business you run.

I urge you, if you are striving to thrive, alone, please stop.

Start connecting with people you know you can trust, who will understand your experience, the hardships and the victories…people you can have slumber parties with, talk shop with and feel completely safe around.

Until next time…stay passionate!
